Application for consideration in the 2022 Central Oregon Gives Campaign

Step 1 of 6

Central Oregon Gives Request for Proposals 2022

THE PROCESS

Our committee will review all applications. We are seeking applications that are innovative, mission-critical and have the greatest opportunity to make an impact. There is nothing that prevents you from pursuing any other fundraising while you participate in the Central Oregon Gives campaign. If chosen to participate, you may be required to submit additional due diligence documents prior to the public announcement of the campaign in order to be included. 80 nonprofits will be selected to participate in this year’s campaign. Please note: There is a fee to participate to help us cover print and production costs. Packages start at $300.

AWARDS OVERVIEW

The nonprofit that receives the most in total funding will receive an additional $15,000 prize from an anonymous donor. The nonprofit that receives the largest number of microdonations of $25 or less will receive a $2,000 prize. And four $2,000 prizes will be awarded to the nonprofits that earn the most in each of the Central Oregon Gives categories (not including the category of the big prize winner). Those categories are Education & Family & Children, Basic Needs, Arts & Culture, Animal Welfare, and Health & Environment. This will result in an overall purse of $25,000.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

The deadline for application submissions is midnight on September 15. (NOTE: You must include your most recent IRS 990 form as the final step of your application, or your application will be considered incomplete).

ANNOUNCEMENT OF YOUR SELECTION

Organizations selected for the Central Oregon Gives Campaign will be notified by September 22, 2022 via email. The final award your organization receives, including the pro-rata match, will be determined once all donations are tallied in January.

Your group will receive funds throughout the campaign. All donations are directly deposited into each nonprofit’s Stripe account. Online donors will receive an email receipt immediately after making an online donation. This email serves as the official tax receipt for the charitable gift (for IRS purposes). Online donors will not receive an acknowledgement in the mail, so they need to print or save this email for their records. Donors of checks or cash will receive an acknowledgement letter from the appropriate beneficiary. It is our recommendation that you send a personal thank-you to each donor.

IMPORTANT: DEADLINES AND THE APPLICATION FORM

Your application, including attaching both your photos and most recent 990 form, must be completed by the deadline or your application will not be considered for inclusion.
