3 Sisters Equine Refuge saves horses from deeply traumatizing situations and provides the equine community with resources and support so that horses can thrive. Our commitment to quality medical care, evidence-based training methods, and strong partnerships has kept horses out of the slaughter pipeline for nearly a decade.

Our impact is felt across the region. Over the last two years, we’ve taken in 67 horses including 15 wild orphans – many of which required extensive, life-saving care. We safely re-homed 25 horses and provided dozens of owners with educational opportunities and supportive networks. And we’ve engaged several volunteers and interns in our mission, making our work more sustainable, visible, and accessible to the community.
