Advocates For Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO)

ALSO is a nonprofit disability support services provider in Deschutes County, Klamath County, and the Portland Metro area. We are committed to full community inclusion and independence for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We provide important person-centered residential supported living services for individuals and families in their homes, workplaces, and communities. Ensuring that the people we support live the life of their choosing. We see ability, not disability. Our work is Heart Work.

ALSO envisions a future in which all people, including those living with developmental and other disabilities are fully included, participating members of their communities. We see equitable access to support and services that reflect the preferences and values of diverse communities and that lead to self-determination, independence, productivity, and a healthy and satisfying quality of life.

Your gift ensures our critical services and that the individuals we support live independently in a home of their choice, find meaningful employment, develop lasting relationships, and experience full inclusion in their community. We are ALWAYS grateful for those who champion our work and those we serve. Your support helps our mission become a reality.

“Employing people who are supported by ALSO job coaches has been a game changer for me. The impact on the atmosphere of the club, along with the fact that they do a great job, has made a huge difference in our service and our bottom line.”  – Tate Metcalf, owner of Sisters Athletic Club
