BrightSide Animal Center is a dedicated 501C3 nonprofit committed to creating a brighter future for animals in our community.
Previously known as the Humane Society of Redmond, founded in 1987, BrightSide is a high-save shelter, devoted to offering shelter, care, placement, and preventive services to animals in Central Oregon.
Before any animal leaves our care to a forever home, they receive comprehensive medical attention. This includes vaccinations, microchipping, spaying or neutering, and licensing. We want to make sure that every animal is fully prepared for the next chapter of their life, bringing joy to their new families and providing a safe and healthy future.
Our commitment extends beyond the animals under our care through our pet food pantry, a lifeline for individuals in need. On average, we assist 3 to 5 people daily by providing essential dog and cat food, ensuring their pets receive proper care even during challenging circumstances. At the core of our mission is the commitment to providing animals a second chance at a fullfilling life. BrightSide serves as their voice, advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves.
