Since 1975, the Council on Aging of Central Oregon has advocated for a world where all seniors, especially those who are struggling, can maintain their independence and quality of life as they age.
We help adults 60+ in Jefferson, Crook, North Klamath and Deschutes counties navigate aging by uniting them with the support and services they need to stay safe, fed, and connected to others in their communities. Our services include access to nutritious food and connection, Medicare benefits counseling, caregiver support, respite services, evidence-based health programs, in-home care support, home safety repairs, senior-focused community resources, referrals to local senior service providers, and educational programs.
In 2020 we were able to meet the increased demand of more seniors needing support. We delivered 90,247 Meals on Wheels meals, served 44,822 senior lunches, funded 11,812 hours of home and personal care services, answered 13,748 general inquiry calls and our 450+ volunteers donated 17,324 hours of their time supporting seniors across the tri-county.
