The Deschutes River Conservancy has been dedicated to bringing people together to create consensus-based solutions to complex water issues in the Deschutes River basin for the past 25 years. Through our partnerships, the DRC has been able to restore more than 93,000 gallons per minute to our local rivers and streams. 25 years ago, flows in the Middle Deschutes (shown below) would get so low in the summer months that fish habitat would be severely impacted. Today, summer flows have increased four-fold (shown above), improving habitat for fish and wildlife. This is tremendous progress, but there is still much more work to do. As our community comes together to make unprecedented basin-wide restoration efforts, we hope you’ll join us in leaving a legacy of healthy rivers in Central Oregon for our children and grandchildren.
