Equine Outreach is a horse rescue in Bend, Oregon that accepts as many abused, neglected, medically compromised, and senior equines as possible. From there, we focus on providing top-grade medical care, rehabilitation, positive training, and all the love, hugs, and TLC we can give. Some horses become sanctuary or hospice horses who remain in our care, while others are carefully and meticulously adopted out to new homes.
While not always the case, Equine Outreach is often a landing place for horses and mules in their senior years who would otherwise have an uncertain future. We believe that every horse deserves respect, dignity, love, and compassionate care in all stages of life. We are a place for the community to participate in the care of these special equines while developing awareness of issues surrounding neglected and abused horses and learning horse handling skills.
Because our senior herd all have special medical needs, we are seeking in part to fundraise this holiday to establish an Emergency Veterinary Care & Transport Fund. This fund will be used for obtaining safe transport to medical care and for unexpected medical emergencies that often cost double or triple of our routine vet care budget. However, there are many ways you can help! See below for how your dollars can go to work for our herd:
$25 Buys must-have equipment like halters & salt licks
$50 Buys a bag of grain for the herd
$100 Buys medication for a senior horse
$200 Buys a month’s supply of vitamins and supplements
$500 Buys new equipment for the ranch
$5,000 Provides a horse’s complete care for a year
Thank you for considering donating to Equine Outreach this holiday season!
