In Oregon we are pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into trying to get people into drug and alcohol programs. Sadly, up to 85% fail the programs and return to the destructive lifestyle of addiction. Out of those that graduate approximately 50% fall back into the lifestyle of addiction. The wasted lives and wasted money are tragic.
New Each Morning was created to address this critical problem and desperate need for post recovery support. We partner with successful women graduates of alcohol & drug treatment programs as they transition into our community in their newly found sober identity, providing connection and positive accountability.
Post recovery support looks like weekly mentoring sessions, job search and preparation for job interviews, as well as many other needs such as clothing, transportation, groceries, assistance in medical issues, and a variety of other individual needs, often through collaboration with other nonprofits.
To date New Each Morning has a 100% success rate of clients not returning to the addiction life style.
Your small investment in the post recovery support New Each Morning provides can help make the hundreds of millions spent on the front end actually make a difference. Our biggest need right now is to acquire a van for transportation and a house for safe transitional living. Your assistance in funding this will help meet the basic needs of our courageous clients.
