WSCAT promotes community development in Warm Springs by empowering individuals and groups of people to realize their potential, become self-reliant, and effect positive change for themselves, their families, and their community. We do this through programs in asset building, small business promotion, and education for personal and professional development. We provide individual development accounts (IDAs); financial, business, and homeownership education and counseling; business plan development services; free tax preparation services; workforce development opportunities; and a wide range of youth programming.
We are in the process of renovating the Commissary, the oldest building in Warm Springs, and converting it to a small business incubator with co-working space, cafe, art store, retail shops, food truck pod, and commercial kitchen. This project will increase the number of businesses and jobs in Warm Springs, provide an important new community gathering space, and enable local and regional travelers to connect with our community and our culture in new ways.
